Midway, through careful planning, closes down the warehouse operation by 2pm each day. By doing so, our aim is to reduce energy usage and therefore utility costs to the greatest extent possible. These aims cover, for example, heating, cooling and ventilation, lighting levels and water conservation.
Midway carefully routes all delivery trucks. These trucks are on GPS tracking systems and are radio dispatched to eliminate unnecessary driving and delivery time. This management system has greatly reduced fuel consumption and air pollution. All deliveries are complete by 2:30pm to free roadways and reduce congestion, habitat loss and pollution.
Midway recycles cardboard, toners, cans and office paper. We are also committed to using recycled packaging material whenever it is environmentally and economically sound and making packaging as recyclable as possible therefore reducing waste.
Midway now offers email billing to eliminate unnecessary paper, delivery fuel costs and air pollution.
Midway is committed to initiating healthy business practices to better our environment and has made worthwhile contributions to this vitally important effort.
